By road from Ilfracombe
The road adjacent to the War Memorial is marked Barnstaple A361 and Lee. Take the right hand fork thus effectively leaving the A361 and continue up the hill, which is named Station Road. This was the road leading to the Ilfracombe Railway Station. The road turns to the right half way up and continues to the “T” junction. At the junction turn Left, signposted Lee. There is a small number of terraced houses on the left. at the end of them on the high ground was the site of the old railway station. It now supports a thriving Industrial Company.
Continue along this road, which is the B3231 passing through Slade Valley. The road eventually begins to climb, leaving the now obsolete Reservoir Filter Beds on the left. The road continues through a farming area and then begins to descend. After a sharp left hand bend the road turns to the right signposted Lincombe Lee. Care is needed here as there is a natural tendency to carry on in a straight line eventually bringing the motorist out on the B3343 Mullacott/Woolacombe road. The road passes through Lincombe and then descends the hill into Lee. Car parking can be found opposite the Church and at the edge of the Bay.
